چکیده
This paper studies a model of memory. The model takes into account that memory capacity is limited and imperfect. We study how agents with such memory limitations, who have very little information about their choice environment, play games. Our results suggest that players do better in games than in decision problems because of their ability to in‡uence the environment they face. We also show that people can do quite well even with severely limited memory, although memory limitations tend to make them behave cautiously.

Auditory memory function in expert chess players
Background: Chess is a game that involves many aspects of high level cognition such as memory, attention, focus and problem solving. Long term practice of chess can improve cognition performances and behavioral skills. Auditory memory, as a kind of memory, can be influenced by strengthening processes following long term chess playing like other behavioral skills because of common processing pat...
متن کاملCombining ATPG and Symbolic Simulation for Efficient Validation of Embedded Array Systems
In the past, Symbolic Trajectory Evaluation (STE) has been shown to be effective for verifying individual array blocks. However, when applying STE to verify multiple array blocks together as a single system, the run-time OBDD sizes would often blow up. In this paper, we propose the use of both ATPG-based justification engine and symbolic simulation to facilitate the application of STE proof met...
متن کاملEfficient Automatic STE Refinement Using Responsibility
Symbolic Trajectory Evaluation (STE) is a powerful technique for hardware model checking. It is based on 3-valued symbolic simulation, using 0,1, and X (“unknown”). X is used to abstract away values of circuit nodes, thus reducing memory and runtime of STE runs. The abstraction is derived from a given user specification. An STE run results in “pass” (1), if the circuit satisfies the specificati...

This paper studies a model of memory. The model takes into account that memory capacity is limited and imperfect. We introduce the notion of a Limited Memory Equilibrium (LME) and show that play converges to an LME in every generic normal form game. Our characterization...
متن کاملVisual Abilities Distinguish Level of Play in Rugby
Background. Novices in sport possesses similar visual skills to that of experts, however there may be major differences in magnitude of performance in these skills, with expert athletes only demonstrating superiority in specific vision skills and not all aspects of vision. Objectives. In this vain, the aim of this study was to discern whether Premier League rugby players has enhanced visio-spa...
